The city of vancouver is hosting the first ever eco fashion week fronm 28th till 30th september. now, it will have runway shows,trade shows seminars n press conferences like all other fashion weeks, but the difference is its eco fashion week, which means that only designers who use sustainable designes & sustainable materials are allowed.
criteria that designers must follow : organic/natural textiles
vintage and/or recycled/reborn textiles
cruelty free [animal free] fashion
eco printing
green marketing practices
socially responsible[ like donating a portion
of sales to eco charities]
designed & constructed in your local community
custom/slow made to encourage slow fashion
instead of mass production.
eco certification.
