Looks like Flower Power is going to dominate spring summer 2011 season as most of spring 2011 fashion shows have showcased floral dresses fashion.
Designer duo, Domenico Dolce and Stefano gabbana took inspiration from English country garden for their Spring 2011 presentation during Milan Fashion Week.
D&G Spring 2011 runway was adorned with real roses, peonies, hydrangeas, ferns, and ivy that filled air with fragrance. This time D&G aimed at teenagers and for this, Italian duo presented many fresh, colorful and peppy designs like motif of flowers on platform shoes as well as on delicate dresses.
Show opened with models wearing canvas dungarees, hessian shorts, wide cropped trousers, knickerbockers, jumpsuits adorned with floral prints made up of roses, hydrangeas, freesias, violets and mimosas.
Top looks of D&G Spring Summer 2011 collection included cabbage rose-print tanks, bubble shorts, gingham head scarves, strapless rompers, red and white picnic blanket-check dresses.
Interesting looks included Snow White and seven Disney dwarfs print on T-shirts and tanks and models walking runway with bags stuffed with trowels, miniature watering cans, and D&G pink and purple gardening gloves. Sky-high wedge espadrilles, florals, checkers, lace, ruffles, tiers on dresses; floral prints in pink, yellow, purple, and blue, hues silk bandannas, canvas bags, skinny tan belts, and floral sandals were awesome.
Closing Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2011 Women’s Collection at Milan Fashion Week were flowing dresses strewn with blossoms and cinched with raffia belts. On the whole, it was a collection perfect for garden party
