ANKY - Ankita and Anjana Bhargav at Van Heusen India Mens Week

ANKY for Men 2010-11
ANKY the prêt line by Ankita and Anjana Bhargav, an anchor for young couture, opens new doors as youth moves to sophistication. ANKY embodies the new culture of street couture another name for Luxury prêt.

ANKY enjoys the confluence of Anjana’s daughter Ankita, (Equipped with a foundation from London College of Fashion and an undergrad at the CASS Business School, London.) and Anjana’s experience and sense of style. Together they infuse in ANKY a fresh brush of youthful sophistication that promises to endure….

In keeping with its philosophy of innovative design principles, mixed with experimental renderings, ANKY 2010-11 for men uses simple ways to create new perspectives on familiar shapes.
In this collection, classic designs have been re-worked upon through out-of-context use of fabrics, giving it a new dimension.
The collection comprises mostly of shirts and uppers, both formal and semi formal. The traditional kurta has been given a new dimension.
Kurta inspired shirts create a capsule collection of menswear classics, updated with experimental styling and slight shifts in proportions.
Unexpected pocket placements and simple colour inversions of the colour white in all its dimensions is the focal part of this collection.
White on white is the mood, with innovative built up collar and out of proportion layering.
The emphasis is on relaxed silhouettes. This collection targets the man who is sure of himself .
